How to Build a PALLET TABLE

This particular pallet has been standing in my family room for some time now, and I finally made a decision what I want to use it for. We needed a desk, and it brought me (with some help through my brother and niece) to making a single using this pallet . it didn’ t get more than half an hour to make, and I’ m super happy with the result.

Editor: The site I discovered this on (Pecuilarmee. com) has ceased to be working, so I moved the content right here. If the original author would like it eliminated, please email me. This pallet table tutorial was first posted on peculiarmee. com.

You’ lmost all need: a pallet (I choose one that looks old and used), additional planks of the same dimension as the thinnest planks on the pallet, a hammer and nails. take away the thinnest planks from the pallet, or even let your pretty little relative help you do it.

Make the desk top, it’ s easy to see what I’ ve done. you’ ll need 2 small planks with the size of the desk top’ s width. with regards to the desk top it’ s i9000 optional how many planks you use, this particular depends on how far out you want the particular desk top to be. I utilized three planks, but would’ ve used more if it hadn’ big t been for the door.

toe nail the desk top on to the part of your pallet, and put it up contrary to the wall. use your screwdriver and 2 screws to secure the pallet simply by attaching it to the wall. this is very important, otherwise the weight you put on your table top is going to make the pallet drop forward. and, finito! easy, thrilling FREE. and I love things I could store my books on! the particular finished result:

A wonderful and basic diy tutorial on making a wooden pallet into a small, but practical desk for any small apartment or even living space.

Wow! What an interesting desk! And yay for the thrifty use of space for books. I could see using just the bottom part of the pallet as a unique bookcase, or finding a way to stack pallets, raising it up a little to make a standing desk/counter. Very cool, thanks for sharing!
