Fabulous English Kitchen Style

Guild Anderson Furnishings celebrate their fifteenth  anniversary this season. Launched in 2003 by Chip and Hannah Anderson, this tale is one of British entrepreneurial achievement. Founded in parallel with mentioning their young family, Guild Anderson started out like many business ventures within small premises on the family plantation. Today, the company is split between your new Design Studio in Tisbury for our admin and design groups, and a busy workshop for our artisans and operations based on the Fonthill Property in Wiltshire.

Computer chip remains personally involved in every task, meeting new customers and interpreting expectations and wishes into final styles. His energy and positive character is one of the secrets behind Guild Anderson’ s success. As an independent company, the workshop remains light upon its feet and responds properly to client requests and tips as projects progress. Described simply by clients as ‘ a hidden gem’, the workshop evidently strikes the correct balance on quality, price plus understated but elegant design function.

The addition of a new expansion and a Guild Anderson kitchen with this cottage in the Wylye Valley offers completely changed how this youthful family live, where they were as soon as crushed into a tiny cottage cooking area with a hot Aga they have a lovely light and spacious great room that as well as being a kitchen is a place to entertain, for the young ladies to do their art in not to mention   to cook and consume in.

The soft Farrow & Ball colours along with Mole’ s Breath on the tropical isle, Purbeck Stone on the cabinetry plus Amonite on the walls all function to compliment the Teltos Carrera Onyx worktops and the circular walnut top.   Storage comes in the shape of tall run of cupboards with adjustable shelving and excellent internal lighting and a Fisher & Paykel fridge sits between them.   The Everhot 120i in Graphite runs at a much cooler heat than the old oil fired Aga and is far easier to control.

This particular project it has to be said had been quite a challenge, with a tricky area shape and an exceedingly reduced ceiling with lots of beams Nick Anderson had to work hard to make the design function.   The kitchen was made for a customer who does an exceptional amount of cooking actually you could say it is her time job, so Nick made your kitchen to be incredibly practical as well as a pleasure to be in.   An Aga had been installed in the new Slate color and above the Aga Westin bespoke extractors made a nice extraction system that could be tucked within the tiny space between the beams.     Behind the Aga the customer had individually designed for her an attractive wallpaper by Lewis and Wooden which was then covered in a three or more metre length single sheet associated with glass with no visible fixings.

The client very much liked the particular Gothic arch design which the girl had seen used in an earlier standalone piece of furniture by Guild Anderson, so Nick then applied this particular design within the kitchen which then linked in with the dining chairs as well as the rather beautiful oak sunburst veneer dining table.   For less formal eating a trestle type oak desk was created at the end of the island in which the client and her husband might have breakfast together.

Hannah assisted in making the colour choices  plus Little Greene’ s Aquamarine plus Slaked Lime were chosen to match with the wallpaper, walls and worktops.

This beautiful Old Rectory located heavy in the Wiltshire countryside has been attractively updated bringing it up to the contemporary living standards that the clients preferred.

With the luxury associated with space the kitchen was designed to incorporate a variety of areas, all beautifully symmetrical whatever way you are standing in the room almost everything is perfectly aligned and therefore soothing to the eye.   There is obviously the cooking and preparation locations for which there are two beautifully outfitted islands, both clad in Quartzite Eclipsia worktops and painted within eye catching Paint and Paper Collection Apple Smiles 11, they are encircled by the calmer work area painted within Paint and Paper Library Record V with a more understated worktop.   Flanking the walk via pantry there is a work desk region to the right and a drinks offering area on the left with a Miele wine fridge for ease.   Adjoining the kitchen is a beautiful tight seating area separated by a hand crafted crittle window.   This really is a most luxurious set of areas.

A handmade pin number board languishes between the snug as well as the stable door to the boot area, the perfect spot to drop your tips and pin up your invites plus ‘ to do’ notes.

This client came back to Guild Anderson for a 2nd time as they had decided to proceed back towards London.   It is usually a pleasure to work on a customers next kitchen as we have any knowledge of their likes and needs as well as the client comes to know of what to expect from the Guild Anderson kitchen.

As in their particular previous home this kitchen is at a large space and Nick created for them two islands; the main one designed for cooking and prepping has a get rid of mounted Miele hob set in to a Ceaserstone composite Quartz Bianco, the composite which is quite indestructible yet really looks the part, the particular secondary island with it’ s i9000 large oiled oak worktop is really a family space, it’ s generally there to eat breakfast at before college and for catching up with the news in the easily located TV, it is also inside close proximity to cabinetry casing all the crockery and plates.   All cabinetry is designed in our Viewfield design and the entire kitchen continues to be painted in Farrow & Golf ball Green Smoke, providing an up to date try this characterful building, without overstepping too much into the modern.
With three hungry children in order to feed the clients opted for a brand new Mastercool fridge by Miele which usually sits squarely between two windows seats and provides vast fridge area that is perfectly lit and taken care of at a temperature controlled level for every shelf.   The only thing it doesn’ t do is clean itself.
Fabulous English Kitchen area Design 13 Fabulous English Kitchen Design 14 The Bucknowle style is a new cabinetry design in order to Guild Anderson, it was developed from the dressing room previously designed for one more client and Nick felt how the style and beauty of it could be advanced into a kitchen.   This Victorian house in Oxfordshire underwent a complete refurbishment and the client was greatly open to ideas and was looking for different things to the norm, a prospect that will Nick relished.
The particular cabinetry style with its round part posts follow the cabinet full elevation to create a beautiful softening effect on the bedroom, the Caeserstone Noble Grey best also follows the curves so you can’ t help yourself yet touch the rounded shapes plus admire the ergonomic lines which usually curve and flow.   There exists a lightness of touch to this cooking area, all of the cabinetry even the tall operate, stands on fine oak hip and legs with a recessed plinth colour combined to the cabinets which completes this particular light feel of elevation.   The divide created by the cut of oak running the length of the particular tall cabinets creates a break in the look in what would otherwise be a large piece of pale storage.
Everything in this kitchen is about the appearance, but as with all Guild Anderson kitchens there is some fun available – in this case the interior of the main cabinet has been painted in Small Greene Heat adding a touch of zest when compared to the rest of the kitchen which is coated in Little Greene French Greyish Pale.   The tiled vintage mirror glass which is splashed at the rear of the Everhot 120i, makes for quite a compliment.   Practicality comes in the shape of a Fisher & Paykel france door fridge freezer and a Miele Pureline steam oven.
Fabulous English Kitchen Design 15 Fabulous British Kitchen Design 16 Fabulous British Kitchen Design 17 This kitchen is a very calm spot to be, considering that three boys reside here in this incredibly rural area in Dorset it is both flawless and an oasis of peace.   Very early on in the task Hannah helped the family to consider the color options for the space, the clients were hoping to find soft neutral shades but with the notable colour difference on the isle.   Farrow & Ball was your paint of choice and the main operate of cabinets was in Purbeck Rock, the island in Mole’ t Breath.   In order to create a crack between the kitchen and the dining region the bookcase was painted within Ammonite with Mole’ s Breathing interior.
The Lucca flooring ties all of these colours with each other being a warm grey and the Teltos Carrera Onyx worktops add lighting to the entire room, the fact that it is a traditional cottage with tiny home windows and not a huge amount of daylight, it is incredible how much light and how spacious this particular room feels.   A demand by the client was for a big food storage area as there is no kitchen, so Nick designed an enormous double door larder cupboard that will house’ s everything from cereal in order to celery and requires no twisting down or rummaging around into find exactly what you are looking for.
Fabulous English Kitchen Style 18 Fabulous English Kitchen Design 19 Fabulous English Kitchen area Design 20 Fabulous English Kitchen Design 21 Upon plan this newly created area for the kitchen just looked like a normal sized room, however the client acquired seen a number of kitchen companies just before meeting with Nick and most had recommended the rather mundane wrap about kitchen look, with three edges of the room in cabinetry as well as the island in the middle.
Nick’ s approach was to create a location that has definite symmetry and in this particular instance the best place for this was round the Everhot 120i, in order to do this individual created a break in the cabinetry beneath the window, not an obvious solution yet once in the kitchen it is exactly as it must be and in fact lightens and makes a sense of style in the space whilst only minimally reducing the operating area.
The worktop is a simple and clean Silestone Wintry Ibizia with a character oak breakfast every day bar situated at the far finish, which compliments the Little Greene Hicks Blue colour scheme on the island.   To master the colour scheme Hannah invested time with the clients looking at color combinations with them, the clients very appreciated this service that we provide as part of the project.   They had the paint consultancy out to advise all of them previously which was expensive and price them a great deal in samples yet by contrast with Guild Anderson this is simply not an added extra cost, we do this mainly because many of our clients don’ t possess the time to experiment with colour and have small idea of interior colours that work with each other.
‘ The color consultancy was brilliant: as a time-poor working couple, compared to the … … ….. colour service, the time we all spent going via Guild Anderson to decide on colours  for the new cooking area was by far the best value to get time/money it was the easiest part of the restoration and we really appreciated this. ’
Fabulous British Kitchen Design 22 Fabulous English Kitchen Style 23 Fabulous English Kitchen Design 24 Fabulous English Kitchen Design 25 This cooking area was all about the clients early morning obsession, namely her juicing.   In her old kitchen the particular incongruous juicer had to be lifted upward out of a cupboard and on to the work surface before rummaging about in a small under counter fridge on her fruit and veggies.   Her new kitchen area was in a vast new extension that were added onto the cottage a few years just before.   To break the big space upward Nick created a false chimney breasts for the Everhot to sit within and either side Bowman cupboards which were set into the false wall structure and added structure to the space and of course created the storage space that will her juicer required.   This particular Bowman sits directly on the work surface area with fold back doors therefore it can be slid in and out, there is also a connect within the cabinet so no need just for dangling wires.
Straight opposite on the island is the refrigerator drawer where the client keeps most of her lovely fresh veggies dug straight out of the garden, so it takes almost no time at all to give them a quick wash in the sink behind and whizz them straight through the juicer.
“ Nick developed my new kitchen around our juicer! I juice everyday plus love it! Moroever, he was able to conceal the juicer in a Bowman cabinet and the chopping apparatus in a cabinet of the island. I like it since it is convenient, it makes it so easy to get this done and a pleasure every morning. Inside my old kitchen, it was my number 1 daily annoyance. Now it is the particular reverse. Also the large island indicates I can work around everyone else within my space with minimal clutter. ”

Our mission is simple: we have been passionate about designing furniture that is useful and easy to use and also looks fantastic. This applies to every kitchen, shoe room, dressing room, study or even table that we make. Quality, support – and above all, happy clients – mean a great deal to all of us.

Clients often request what the difference is between all of us and bigger industry names and am suppose it is a mix of many things: high quality of design and construction, services, price, our very personal technique and the fact that every piece I actually design is a reflection of that person and their home.
